Signs of the Times.... Here's a man with an well wordsmithed insight on the affairs of these daze. http://jameshowardkunstler.typepad.com/clusterfuck_nation/2009/02/presidents-day.html And here's a man tracking things quite well... http://trendsresearch.com/journal.html And an slightly older version of trend reader - here’s a chapter from the book of Enoch:
The biblical quote is, of course right on... simply because human nature never changes. Hence, any old story carries forward. You could scribble any old average common scenario happening to any common person now, couch it in cryptic 'ancient' slang, and it would be a prophetic epic if found under a rock a few millennia from now. However, the sounds and expressions unique and new in this moment, to never be heard again outside of this moment are the ones to keep on the lookout for. And where are they coming from I ask. I want your links to them! Otherwise it is all just ... TV or some other form of regurgitated human patterning recounted to the masses. I, personally, have yet to find an invitation beyond a resolved interest to survive with your wits intact with no one murdered in cold blood. In other words, there really isn't much more than 'decent survival' out there to draw folks into a new age... an age of of newness in being. Survival?... is that all there is to show for all the decent living under the bridge? And please, I know the message wrt to 'you are born to die to go to a better place' bs. That one has definitely died on the vine of my thinking. We certainly will see the 'salt of the earth' types successfully demonstrating self-sustainable practices ...on themselves... but co-operative entrenched bio-regional local economic trading zones with resiliency, in America? Not likely... unless human nature evolves. We get the news that World Economy is a fallacy bound to fail... but what is the real direction that can set the path firm and true in the Earth for the next round of pioneering souls? And since when does a 'financial crisis' contribute to evolutionary pressure? Yep, my money is on 'more of the same'. And for which, a bible is as good as anything to see what is going on now. It won't take too much intelligence to regurgitate old news and call it informative. 1000's of idiots do it daily. It will take a lot more than this to change the genetics of humanity. But will it take that much to get us on the right track...? enough pressure on our pattern to change the genetics...? or is it going to be a good helping of 'discomfort' or 'hard times' that's going to do it? When I look around and survey the misery in the world the average, innocent American consumers create in the world, it is obvious the cause and effect connection has been completely and perfectly obfuscated. We've got religion, drugs and nutrition to mask any semblance of intelligence, TV to falsify the views, and politicians to tell us otherwise. There isn't enough connection between the cause of the problem and those dying from the problem. As long as that distance remains, more of the same. So what will it be? more of the same, OR a whole new thrust in consciousness? For me, I kind of know what it takes to get a new thrust in consciousness. And it isn't pain and suffering that does it. It's love and caring given a chance to bob to the surface of my soul. So why do so many insist on terrifying each other with the bad news of human nature running rampant? Why do I all too often point at what's not working to get friends to look at what is working?... is what is working not attractive enough? Or do I simply not have anything more attractive than what TV has to offer. Hey, not enough for ya? Check out the Archives
